Ahhh, Valentine’s Day.
A day of love, romance, chocolates, and fluttery feel-good things.
There are some who celebrate this day with all their heart…

And then there are those that don’t.

Valentine’s Day.
A day of broken hearts and bad memories.
A day that some are better off without.
People getting all lovey-dovey can just GO AWAY.
(The chocolates can stay though *wink*)

This collection of 40 poems is a glimpse into a hurt soul, and a reminder that for some, Valentine’s Day is anything but “happy”.

Nathan Hensley has always been aware of monsters since he was young, especially since the night his father was taken by one right in front of him.
